Thanks for stopping by…
My name is Denny aka: Denny Diamond. I began my career as a vocalist in ‘1977’ after landing the role of Billy Bigelow in a production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Carousel.” Ever since then I have been on stage.
In ‘1999’ I auditioned for Dick Clark’s “Your Big Break” where I sang Neil Diamond’s “America.” Since then, I have traveled the country performing a tribute to Neil Diamond’s music.
After Covid, I began referring to myself as “The World’s Okayest Vocalist.” With that I wrote and began performing a number of different themed shows featuring a variety of music from the 40’s to the 80’s and including, my favorite, songs made famous in musicals. I continued my tribute to Neil Diamond in a show I call, “a Neil Diamond story,” where I tell stories of his life, the inspiration behind some of his songs and how I came to be part of the tribute industry.
Over my career I‘ve performed regularly in Branson, Missouri at The American Bandstand Theatre and Jackie B Goode’s diner. In Nashville, Tennessee I performed regularly at The Legendary Exit Inn, Grimey’s, The Frist Art Museum, The Mercy Lounge and The Cannery Ballroom. I have had the pleasure of working beside outstanding musicians who were gigging regularly with Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond, Willie Nelson, The Little River band, Six Pence None the Richer and George Strait. I have personally shared the stage with artists like Gloria Gaynor, Christopher Cross and David Cassidy. I have performed for Sarah McLachlan, Suzy Bogguss, Dolly Parton and even received a personal call from Keith Urban to perform at a private event at his home.
In ‘2006’ I began performing lunch shows at White Fence Farm and I’m excited to continue my run there. I will also be adding venues Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio and Iowa.
Thank you in advance for coming to my site and I look forward to seeing you at one of my performances.
