We’re Home!

Nice to get back to a normal routine after so many weeks on tour. We had life-changing experiences and saw so much of this beautiful country, and met so many wonderful people along the way. But, with that being said, home’s the most excellent place of all!

June Recipe

I thought since June is Father’s Day month, we’d share a simple recipe I think you’ll all enjoy.

Italian Beef
In a slow cooker, slice 1 onion and scatter on the bottom.

Add 1-2 beef roasts..I use a sirloin cut or top round roast (I make 2 usually as it freezes well)

Add 1 to 11/2 cups of water

Sprinkle with 1 to 2 packages Good Seasons Dry Salad Dressing Mix

Add 1 to 2 small jars of Peppercionni Peppers…with juice (diced)

Sprinkle with Garlic Salt and Pepper

Cover and Cook on high about 6 hours.

Take meat out and shred, then return it to the slow cooker

Sprinkle with 1 to 2 packages Dry Brown Gravy Mix

Cook for another 30 minutes

Serve on hoagie rolls or over baked potatoes

Can add Green Peppers and Provolone cheese

Matching Italian Beef with wine poses a unique set of considerations. Depending if the meat is mild or peppery

Try a traditional Italian Savgiovese or Chianti. These wines will “jump start your palate”

The other wines you could try is to go spicy. A Nero d’avola or a nice spicy Zinfandel or Shiraz.

Try one of the Holly Holy Trinities in this tasty dish.
